Answers to the most common questions about the Adjurn legal app.

Getting started

How do I add a task?

On the Tasks tab, tap the + button, type a title (e.g. "FILE: Skeleton argument — Whitmore appeal"), set a time, and tap +.

How does the colour-coded urgency work?

Tasks are coloured by deadline: red for tasks due today or tomorrow, amber for tasks due in the next 2–7 days, and green for everything further out.

Billing & invoicing

How do I generate a PDF invoice?

From the Billing tab, tap Generate Invoice. Choose a client, select the time entries and disbursements to include, pick a theme, and download the PDF. Six invoice themes ship with the app: Classic, Onyx, Slate, Sage, Navy, and Linen.

How are disbursements handled?

You can add disbursements (e.g. court filing fees, counsel fees, search fees) when generating an invoice. They appear separately from time-based fees in the invoice breakdown and totals.

CPD & SRA compliance

Can Adjurn remind me about CPD or my Practising Certificate?

Yes — use the Reminders tab to create recurring reminders for CPD logging, Practising Certificate renewal, or any other compliance milestone. You choose the date and frequency; Adjurn notifies you on the schedule you set.

Migrating from another system

Can I import data from Clio?

A direct CSV import from Clio is on the roadmap and is not yet available. If you need help moving across now, email info@adjurn.app and we'll work through it with you. For a feature-by-feature breakdown, see our Clio alternative comparison.
